Programmes run for 28, 60 or 90 days, and a stay can be extended in 28-day blocks if more time would help. Our clinical team recommends a length based on each person's needs, but the final decision rests with the client, because treatment is voluntary. A stay can be extended partway through.

Private treatment in South Africa costs far less than in the UK. Our Standard 28-day programme is £6,999 and our Comprehensive 90-day programme is £12,999. By comparison, several leading private UK clinics publish prices starting at around £18,000 to £22,000 for a single 28-day stay, so our full 90-day programme still costs less than one month at one of those clinics. Our prices don't include flights to South Africa.

The price covers accommodation, meals, medically supervised detox, group therapy, individual counselling, recovery literature, laundry and airport transfers. Optional extras, such as an escort to travel with you from the UK and weekly family workshops and counselling sessions, are charged separately.

Yes. A doctor assesses each client, and a nurse oversees their detox. Withdrawal from alcohol and some medications, such as benzodiazepines, can be dangerous, so detox should always happen under medical supervision.

No. Treatment is self-funded. A deposit secures your place, and the balance is paid on admission.

Every client receives aftercare, on both the Standard and Comprehensive programmes. It includes phone check-ins, ongoing sponsorship for at least 28 days, referrals to recovery meetings and contacts in the fellowship. We also connect clients with a network of support groups, so they stay connected to recovery support once they are home.

Yes. Family can visit after the first seven days, on Saturdays and Sundays, for up to four hours. Many families stay in nearby hotels or guest houses. If you can't travel, video calls are available on call days, and we can arrange virtual visits.

We support families throughout treatment, and all of it is available remotely, so you can take part from the UK. Every week there is a free Q&A session for families and an update on your loved one's progress. Weekly family workshops and counselling sessions are also available at an extra cost.

Recovery here isn't confined to the therapy room. Alongside a focus on healthy food and exercise, clients take part in outings and experiences such as hiking, shark diving and go-karting.

There are three residential treatment centres in South Africa: Cape Manor House in Cape Town, Western Cape; Midlands Estate in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands; and South Coast Estate on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast. Airport pickups are included. Clients going to Cape Manor House are collected from Cape Town International Airport, about 40 minutes away. Clients going to the two KwaZulu-Natal estates are collected from King Shaka International Airport in Durban, a journey of about 1 hour 30 minutes to South Coast Estate and about 2.5 hours to Midlands Estate. If you would like someone to travel with you from the UK, a paid escort service is available.

Yes. Your enquiry is only seen by our admissions team. During treatment, information is shared with family only with the client's consent. Records are kept in-house and are not shared with anyone outside the centre, unless a client is referred to an external psychologist or psychiatrist, and then only with their consent.
