Midlands Estate is a private residential addiction treatment centre on a historic country estate near Mooi River, in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. It has room for up to 40 people among gardens, farmland and rolling hills, and is about 2.5 hours from King Shaka International Airport, Durban. Airport transfers are included.

About Midlands Estate
Midlands Estate is a stately country house near Mooi River, in the rolling hills and farmland of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. The building is more than a century old. It was most recently a hotel and country retreat, and has been refurbished as a treatment centre for up to 40 people.
It is the most rural of our three centres, and days here are shaped by the land around the house. There’s a daily nature walk, forest walks and hikes, and plenty of birdlife and other wildlife in the grounds. In the colder months the house’s original fireplaces are lit.
For someone who needs real distance from the pressures of daily life, the setting helps. The estate is far from city noise, and outings go to the nearby village of Nottingham Road for putt-putt and coffee.
The programme is the same as at our other centres: group therapy, individual counselling, the undiluted 12-step programme, and CBT and DBT, with a dedicated nursing station on site.

Medical detox
Medical detox is available at every centre. After a physical health assessment, a doctor and nurse plan a medically supervised detox, supported by the centre’s dedicated nursing station.

Regulation: Midlands Estate is in South Africa and is not regulated by UK bodies such as the CQC.

Fly into King Shaka International Airport, Durban (DUR). The transfer to Midlands Estate takes about 2.5 hours and is included.
